SPRING into more pleasure

2019 is flying by!

Spring begins in just a few weeks, and for those of us who may have let our New Year’s resolution for better sex get pushed aside, there’s no time like the present to start again. Spring is a perfect time for fresh new beginnings, and instead of being hard on yourself for not meeting all your goals, take this time to make a few new ones.

Now that sexual health and wellness is a more “comfortable” topic these days, more people are going into adult stores for their first excursion into a world full of things to provide pleasure. With everything out there, it can be really overwhelming. What goes where? Where do you even start?

Lube is the cornerstone of great sex. Often stigmatized as something that only people with “issues” need, I’m here to tell you that lube is for ALL folks having almost every kind of sex.

Did you know?

  • Lube reduces friction and increases pleasure, enhancing your experience.

  • Lube is absolutely necessary for anal sex. In fact, there’s no such thing as “too much”!

  • Not only does lube have pleasurable benefits, but medically speaking it reduces the risk of tiny tears or injuries during sex, therefore reducing the risk of infection.

To get you started, I’ll recommend two different types for you- a water-based lube and a silicone one- and explain the differences.

AQUA is our go-to water-based lube. Enhanced with Olive leaf Extract,  a natural biostatic, it has the ability to protect while it satisfies. It has a silky smooth feel, it’s long-lasting, and as it does dry, it’s not sticky. AQUA is great for vaginal sex, anal sex, and toy use, plus, as a water-based lube, it doesn’t stain. clean up is quick and easy.

ULTRA, our silicone lube, is my personal favorite. Comprised of only two ingredients- both silicone- it’s long-lasting and has an amazing glide without feeling too thick or greasy. A little goes a long way, and it’s especially great for sex in the water because it won’t wash away. (This can be a concern for some folks too, it takes more effort to clean up and can be slippery) Because we can’t guarantee the materials that may be used in certain pleasure products, we don’t recommend using Ultra with silicone toys.

You may find that you love one more than another, or you prefer water-based for a certain set of things and silicone for others. Discovering your lube likes and dislikes can be sexy experimentation, and once you have the basics down you can get into the specialty items like our Sensation and Flavor collections.

And about those fresh, new beginnings that Spring can bring?

After your play is done, make sure to keep things clean with Foam N Fresh, our antibacterial foaming toy cleanser. Free of Triclosan, Parabens, and Alcohol, It goes on thick and foamy, getting into every hard to reach area, helping to further protect your toys and your health, giving “Spring cleaning” a whole new meaning.

there is beauty in growth and change. enjoy exploring new things!
